The Challenge

Fashion collaborations are everywhere. For Caprese, simply being present at Lakme Fashion Week was not enough. The brand needed to use the launch of its AW 2023 Collection to elevate its image, generate consumer interest and establish itself as a premium fashion accessory label that could naturally belong alongside high fashion. The challenge was therefore to create a collaboration that felt genuinely integrated rather than added on, while extending the impact of the runway beyond the show itself.

Our Approach

^ step by step, no shortcuts

1

Caprese partnered with designer duo Gauri and Nainika, bringing together Caprese's contemporary design aesthetic with their timeless fashion sensibility.

2

The collaboration went beyond visibility. Caprese was involved in the design process to create a stronger connection between the handbags and the looks showcased on the runway.

3

Instead of relying on conventional Bollywood showstoppers, the Indian squash team was brought onto the runway following their recent global success, creating an unexpected and memorable fashion moment.

4

More than 50 fashion and lifestyle influencers were engaged around the event, with select creators developing collaborative content to extend the campaign's reach.

5

A dedicated Caprese kiosk at Lakme Fashion Week gave creators and attendees the opportunity to interact with the brand and experience the AW 2023 Collection up close.

6

The runway, creators, social amplification and physical activation worked together under #TheCapreseRunway, ensuring the collaboration continued beyond the show itself.

The Solution

Garage Collective developed #TheCapreseRunway, an integrated fashion campaign built around Caprese's collaboration with Gauri and Nainika at Lakme Fashion Week. The AW 2023 Collection was positioned not simply as a handbag launch, but as part of a larger high-fashion experience. We worked to bring the design philosophies of Caprese and Gauri and Nainika together from the beginning, creating a more natural relationship between the accessories and the runway looks. To create a distinctive show moment, the campaign moved away from the traditional celebrity-showstopper formula and featured members of the Indian squash team. The runway experience was then amplified through an influencer network of more than 50 fashion and lifestyle creators, with select creators producing collaborative content around the collection and the event. At the venue, a dedicated Caprese kiosk extended the experience beyond the runway, giving attendees and creators an opportunity to discover and interact with the AW 2023 Collection directly. Together, these elements transformed Caprese's Lakme Fashion Week presence into a larger brand experience across fashion, social media, creators and on-ground engagement.
